Lightning Ridge is an eccentric and generally friendly little place
(with some notable exceptions!) It's certainly worth a few days of
explorations, fossicking not necessarily for precious black opals, but
for the funny, quirky little sights and experiences that are to be had
here. 
Or maybe wallowing in the warm and free Artesian Bore Baths, like so many of the other grey nomads who pass through 'The Ridge'.
